What the bot actually does
The shortest explanation: it answers exactly what was asked, and only with what you yourself wrote in the listing or the settings. Everything below is a detail of that one rule.
It answers inside the OLX chat
The bot works in your ordinary OLX chats. The buyer has nothing to open and nothing to install: to them it is a conversation with you.
It invents no facts
Every reply is built only from your listings and settings. If the listing does not say how long the battery lasts, the bot will not guess: it passes the question to you. That is the main thing that separates it from an ordinary chatbot.
It hands the conversation over when it should
An unfamiliar question, haggling, an arrangement about payment or shipping: the bot stays quiet and sends you the buyer's question in Telegram. You answer yourself, and the bot does not step into that conversation again.
Confirmation mode
While you are still deciding, turn on confirmation: the bot prepares a draft and you send it with one press, from the dashboard or straight from Telegram. Not a word goes out without you.
Delivery and payment from your own settings
You state once which carriers you ship with, until what time, and how you take payment. After that the bot answers those questions itself, on your schedule, inventing neither a carrier nor a deadline.
Reminders for buyers who went quiet
A buyer asks and disappears. It happens. After a while the bot can send one short reminder. Once, without pushing, and only while the conversation is genuinely alive. Available from the Pro plan.
Public web lookup
When the question is about a publicly known property of the product rather than about your particular item, the bot can check it in open sources. The private details of your item are never learned that way: they always come to you. Available from the Pro plan.
Several accounts in one dashboard
If you have several OLX accounts they run from one panel and share one reply limit. How many you may connect depends on the plan.
What the bot does not do
These are not limits we plan to lift. This is how it is meant to work.
It does
- Answer questions about availability, price, condition and what is included, from your listing
- Explain delivery and payment from your settings
- Reply in the language the buyer wrote in
- Stay quiet when there is nothing to say
It does not
- Negotiate a price or agree to a discount on your behalf
- Promise anything the listing does not state
- Send payment details or take a prepayment
- Talk about itself or explain to the buyer how the reply is produced
