How buyer follow ups work after silence

When a buyer does not reply, the conversation is not lost. At your chosen intervals, Vidkov carefully checks whether the purchase is still relevant without repeating what has already been said.

The lifecycle of one follow-up

The system checks the conversation state before scheduling and again before sending.

  1. The conversation goes quietAfter a reply from the seller or bot, the buyer does not write again.
  2. Your chosen interval elapsesThe waiting time and number of attempts come from your personal settings.
  3. Vidkov checks the chatA new buyer message, seller action or manual mode cancels an unnecessary follow-up.
  4. The question is sentOnly if the unfinished conversation is still waiting for the buyer.

You control the frequency

In personal settings, the seller chooses the number of follow-ups and the intervals between them. The feature is available from the Pro plan.

  • a separate schedule for the configured sequence
  • nothing sent over a new reply
  • the sequence stops when the seller takes over

The text belongs to the current moment

A follow-up does not repeat specifications, arguments, transaction terms or calls to action from the main reply. It is one self-contained question about the current state of the unfinished purchase.

During uninterrupted silence, every subsequent wording must be fresh rather than a close paraphrase of the previous one.

New activity takes priority over an old schedule

If the buyer replies, the seller writes manually, the chat is handed to a person or the bot's operating conditions change, a scheduled follow-up must not catch up with a conversation that has already moved on.

When a buyer asks to be contacted at a particular time, that becomes a separate conversation commitment. It stays tied to the requested moment instead of being replaced by a standard sequence interval.
