How authorization works
Choose “Connect OLX” in the Vidkov dashboard. Your browser opens an OLX page showing the application name and requested permissions. After approval, OLX returns you to Vidkov. You enter your password on the OLX website, never in a Vidkov form.
The service stores technical access tokens in encrypted form. When OLX replaces a short-lived token, the application receives the new one without asking you to enter your password again.
The first synchronization
After returning to the dashboard, wait for your profile and active listings to appear. A large catalog can take longer to load, but every listing must remain a separate card with its own title, price, description, and photos.
- Confirm the name of the connected profile.
- Compare the number of active listings.
- Open several cards and make sure their data is not mixed.
- Enable the bot on a test listing first.
How to confirm the connection works
Start a controlled conversation and ask a question with an unambiguous answer in the description. In confirmation mode, the reply should appear in the review queue. In automatic mode, it should be sent to the buyer. If you updated the listing on OLX, let synchronization finish and review the card again.
How to disconnect access
You can disconnect an account in the Vidkov dashboard. To revoke the permission completely, you can also remove it in the connected application settings on OLX. After disconnection, the bot must not send new replies from that profile.
What happens after OLX authorization
The connection is not a copy of the OLX cabinet. It is a secure exchange through official access. Vidkov receives only what is needed to read connected chats, load listings, and send authorized replies, and that access can be revoked. After authorization, verify not only the connection status but also the contents of the synchronized catalogue before enabling any bot.
Why does an OLX page open?
That is the normal official authorization flow. Permission is confirmed on the OLX side, so sign-in details are not entered into Vidkov. After approval, OLX returns the browser to the service with a limited access token. This is safer than giving a username and password to third-party software.
How can you tell that connection is complete?
The OLX account and its active listings appear in the cabinet. Open the list and compare names, prices, and the number of items. Then connect one item to a bot and run a controlled conversation. A successful connection badge alone does not mean the required listing has already been selected.
What if a listing is missing?
First check that it is active on OLX and that you connected the intended account. Refresh the catalogue after making changes on the marketplace. A newly published item may need a short synchronization delay. Do not create a duplicate listing simply to try the connection again.
Can several accounts be connected?
Yes, when the selected plan allows it. Each account retains its own listings and conversations while the plan reply allowance is shared. Give connections clear names so you do not confuse a shop, a personal profile, or separate catalogue categories while configuring the bots.
What happens after editing a listing?
Current data is obtained during synchronization, so corrected specifications and pricing become the basis of future answers. After a significant edit, open the item in the cabinet and verify it again. Old chat messages are not rewritten, but the next answer should use the current state.
How do you stop access?
Disconnect the account in Vidkov settings and, if necessary, revoke the permission in OLX settings. New conversations will no longer be processed. If sales are only paused temporarily, switching off the relevant bots is enough and preserves their configuration and extra product information.
Mistakes that make a connection appear broken
- Authorizing a different OLX profile in another tab and not checking which account actually appeared in the cabinet.
- Expecting replies for a synchronized listing that has not yet been selected in the settings of a particular bot.
- Closing the OLX page before permission is confirmed or clicking connect again while an authorization flow is already open.
- Failing to refresh the catalogue after a meaningful price, description, or listing status change on the marketplace.
- Giving a password to support. Diagnosis only requires the account name and the step where the connection stopped.
After connection, document which profiles belong to each shop and who maintains their settings. Clear labels are particularly important when one plan covers several OLX accounts because they reduce the risk of activating a bot for the wrong catalogue. Check connection status after password changes, permission revocation, or a long pause. If OLX requests authorization again, complete it on the official page and compare the listings after returning. Do not create a new Vidkov account or duplicate products to work around a problem; first establish whether the profile itself is available and whether its list refreshed. A team should appoint one person to manage connections so simultaneous actions cannot cancel one another. The final check is straightforward: a controlled message from another OLX profile reaches the intended chat, resolves to the right listing, and follows the chosen mode. Only then is the connection ready for daily use.
If authorization stops, record the exact step and on-screen message rather than restarting repeatedly. Check device time, network stability, and whether the browser blocks the return from OLX. Use separate browser profiles on a shared computer so another seller's active session cannot alter the account choice. After recovery, verify listings from different catalogue areas and one genuine chat history instead of trusting the connected badge alone.
